Fidget Black — Born at Fidget Studios, Built on Hard House, Backed by Real Chart Results
Before there was Fidget Music, there was Fidget Records - our original label where we pressed vinyl and flew the flag for hard house. That’s the DNA of Fidget Studios: records made for real dancefloors. Out of that spirit came our underground imprint Fidget Black — launched from sessions here in Coventry and led by in-house producer Michael Hagan (aka Mikey).
Mikey’s early releases set the tone. The Hard House Trickster EP entered the Beatport Hard Dance Top 100 at #76, hit #9 on the Toolbox Digital Hard House Chart, reached #12 on the Trackitdown Hard Dance Chart, and even climbed to #92 in Toolbox’s overall Top 100. Follow-up single Bad Magic kept the momentum, rising to #63 on the Toolbox Digital Top 100 and picking up strong DJ support.
Every track was written, produced and mastered at Fidget Studios, blending punchy, club-ready sonics with the personality that’s run through our catalog since the vinyl days. Fidget Black became the place for that darker, tougher sound - a home for producers to push boundaries and release on their own terms.
